Having attended Central State for college, where he met his wife, Shelithia, and kick-started his coaching career, Jackson’s connection to the community runs deep. After leading Grambling State to a thrilling victory against Montana State, Jackson left the court hand in hand with his wife, with his team advancing in the NCAA tournament.
Sophomore guard Jimel Cofer became the unexpected savior for Grambling State in their win against Montana State. Despite not playing in the first half or the SWAC championship game, Cofer came off the bench to score all of his team-high 19 points in the second half and overtime. His readiness and determination to make an impact when called upon by the coach proved instrumental in the Tigers’ historic win.
