Motorola recently unveiled its latest smartphones, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra and Edge 50 Fusion, in a global launch event. These new models come equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets and Pantone-validated displays and cameras, promising a high-end user experience.
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is the flagship model in this lineup, featuring a triple rear camera unit that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 64-megapixel telephoto sensor with up to 3x optical zoom. The front camera boasts a 50-megapixel sensor for high-quality selfies and video calls.
In terms of display, the Edge 50 Ultra sports a 6.7-inch full-HD+ pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 2,500 nits of peak brightness, and a 93.8 percent screen-to-body ratio. Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC and paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 onboard storage, this phone is a powerhouse in terms of performance.
The Edge 50 Ultra comes with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 125W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. It also supports dual 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C connectivity. Additionally, it features an in-display fingerprint sensor and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, a sibling to the Ultra model, features a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. The front camera houses a 32-megapixel sensor for all your selfie needs.
On the display front, the Edge 50 Fusion comes with a 6.7-inch full-HD+ pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 1,600 nits of peak brightness, and a 92 percent screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset and paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 inbuilt storage.
The Edge 50 Fusion is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 68W wired fast charging. It also supports 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C connectivity. Similar to its sibling, it features an in-display fingerprint sensor and an IP rating for dust and water resistance.
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is priced starting at EUR 999, while the Edge 50 Fusion comes in at EUR 399. These smartphones are set to go on sale in select markets in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Oceania region in the next few weeks. However, there has been no announcement regarding the launch of these models in India as of now.
