Jason Statham, known for his roles in action-packed films such as the Fast & Furious franchise, has been announced as the lead in a new action-thriller. Directed by Baltasar Kormákur, known for his work on Everest, this untitled project promises to deliver adrenaline-pumping excitement.
In this upcoming film, Statham will play the role of Mason, a man who lives in isolation on a remote Scottish island. When he saves a young girl from a stormy ocean, he unwittingly triggers a series of events that lead to a violent attack on his secluded refuge. Forced to confront his past, Mason must venture back into the world he left behind.
The principal photography for this action-thriller is scheduled to begin in November in the UK and Iceland. The film will be produced at Baltasar Kormákur’s RVK Studios facility in Reykjavik. The script for the movie comes from Ward Parry, with Statham serving as a producer for Punch Palace Productions, alongside Kormákur for RVK Studios.
Statham is no stranger to intense action roles, having recently worked on The Beekeeper directed by David Ayer. With a successful career in the genre, Statham’s collaboration with Kormákur is highly anticipated.
