Apple is gearing up to launch the iPhone 16 series with four new models, including the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which is said to have thinner screen bezels than any other smartphone on the market. Tipster Ice Universe revealed that the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature 1.15mm bezels, significantly thinner than last year’s iPhone 15 Pro Max with 1.71mm bezels. The leaked computer-aided design (CAD) render showcases the flagship phone with narrow bezels around the display, providing more screen real estate for users.
To achieve the razor-thin bezels on the iPhone 16 Pro Max, Apple is rumored to be implementing a new method called Border Reduction Structure (BRS). This innovative approach aims to minimize the bezel at the bottom of the device, offering a sleek and modern design for the flagship iPhone model. The leaked image of a tempered glass display protector for the iPhone 16 Pro Max further hints at the device’s upcoming design improvements.
In addition to the thin bezels, the iPhone 16 series is expected to come in black, white, gold, and grey or titanium color options. The iPhone 16 Pro Max is rumored to boast a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 4,676mAh battery with 40W wired charging support and 20W MagSafe charging capabilities. The Pro models are said to run on Apple’s speculated flagship A18 Pro chip, while the regular iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will be powered by an A18 Bionic chip based on TSMC’s 3nm process.
The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models are expected to feature larger 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays, respectively, with up to 1,200 nits of typical brightness for SDR content. On the other hand, the vanilla models will retain the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens from their predecessors. All phones in the iPhone 16 family are anticipated to include Dynamic Island technology and AI-powered Apple Intelligence features, enhancing the overall user experience.
