Poco has recently hinted at the launch of a new smartphone in India, possibly the Poco X6 Neo. The teaser shared on social media suggests that the upcoming device could be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 13R Pro, first introduced in China. The Poco X6 Neo is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC, offering strong performance capabilities to users.
Anticipation for Poco Neo Series Smartphone Launch
Fans of Poco in India are eagerly awaiting the debut of the new Poco Neo series smartphone. Although the exact name and launch date have not been disclosed, the rumor mill indicates that the Poco X6 Neo could make its appearance in the country soon. The teaser post by Poco suggests that something “Neo” is on the horizon, hinting at exciting new features to come.
On the same day, Realme introduced the Realme 12 5G powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ 5G SoC. Poco India head Himanshu Tandon took a subtle dig at Realme’s offering by expressing doubts about an LCD panel and the chipset used in a smartphone priced under Rs. 17,000. He pointed out that the Poco M65 5G already provides the same processor at a significantly lower price, encouraging consumers to wait for the upcoming Neo phone.
According to reports from Gadgets 360, the Poco X6 Neo is expected to feature an orange color option with dual rear cameras, similar to the design of the Redmi Note 13R Pro. The smartphone is projected to be priced below Rs. 16,000, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious consumers. The Redmi Note 13R Pro, which served as the foundation for the Poco X6 Neo, was initially sold in China for CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs. 23,000) for the highest RAM and storage configuration.
If the Poco X6 Neo is indeed a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 13R Pro, users can expect similar specifications between the two devices. The Redmi Note 13R Pro featured a 6.67-inch OLED display with a high refresh rate and PWM dimming technology for enhanced visuals. Additionally, the smartphone was equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. The camera setup included a 108-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel shooter on the back, along with a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies. Authentication was enabled through a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and the device offered a sizable 5,000mAh battery with fast charging support to keep users powered throughout the day.
The launch of the Poco X6 Neo in India has generated significant excitement among tech enthusiasts and consumers looking for a value-for-money smartphone. With promising features and specifications borrowed from the Redmi Note 13R Pro, the Poco X6 Neo aims to deliver a compelling user experience at an affordable price point. Stay tuned for more updates on the official launch and availability of the Poco X6 Neo in the Indian market.
